Great locals hill, many seem to think (incorrectly) it's "little" and it is true that it isn't Whistler, or Big White or Sun Peaks but that is a good thing. There is plenty of terrain options here both on piste, and backcountry with enough challenging terrain to keep even advance skiers entertained for days. The additional activities for non-skiers including tubing, skating and snowshoeing through the extensive trail system are actually far better than options found at bigger resorts, and that also includes Nickelplate Nordic centre which is 10 mins away from Apex and a legit size x/c area. So many outdoor options here. It doesn't have a starbucks or body shop store but it has good people, small lift lines and a great local vibe. You probably won't impress the big hill snobs with this destination and that's the point.... Avis complet

What an amazing hidden gem! This resort has everything, they catered to my friends & their kids who are just learning to ski - lessons, a bunny hill, ice skating & a tube park! While I was able to go hit some steep blues & blacks. We even found fresh powder days after it snowed! Accommodation was great, ski in ski out & affordable. Love the small local feel, friendly staff and quaint family friendly village.... Avis complet

Both Chairs were off line for a lot of the day. And the High Speed Quad has been having long stops all year. We were on the crawl evacuation off of the Quad Chair. The chair ran at evacuation speed then shut down for the day. The stops are in the forty to forty five minute range. The food in the Gun Barrel sucks. Six wings for $13 and poor service. Talked to other people while spending my day on the chair and they had the same poor food at the Gun Barrel. The Edge Bistro was very good. Highly inflated snow reports.... Avis complet

Came here for vacation with family. There are two lifts on this mountain. 1 lift is slow, the other is a high speed quad that does not work. Yesterday intermittently, today not working. Will go and try Big White instead. If you are coming to Apex for a destination, don't bother. For the Okanagan, better to go to Big White or Sun Peaks.... Avis complet

what a great smaller mountain...went up there just last weekend with local ski club and had a blast...apex surely doesn't boast the quantity of runs of neighbouring big white (let alone whistler) but it offers kick-ass challenge in terms of quality of runs...they have a number of very challenging blues and blacks, so if you want to really ramp up your skill level and be challenged then go for it...truly a great ''smaller'' mountain....and some good nightly entertainment and dining at both the tempest lounge and gunbarrel pub, and fresh tracks (the latter for breakfast and lunch)....not as much going on for families, imo, ie, movies or entertainment for kids after resort hrs.... I spent six days in Apex in Mid February, and I totally loved the place. It is small, its is quaint, its a locals hill 100%, and that is great. The snow quality was super nice, the runs vary from easy cruisers to some of steepest stuff I have ever seen in the world. If you can ride this hill, you can ride anywhere in the world. The parks are great, they have both a beginners park and and advanced park, both with their fair share of rails, boxes and hits. The groomers are wide and smooth, and dont really get to chopped up as the day goes on. There are little to no lift lines, even on the weekends. The people there are amazing!!!! I'll be heading back for sure.... Avis complet

Great mountain! Apex has lots of steep and open terrian. Great for expert skiings and boarders. I have been skiing there my whole life and I really enjoy the mountain. With almost no line ups, Apex is a great escape. I have been to all of the resorts around the Okanagon and I have found Apex the most challanging. I recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a challange and would like to experiance tough terrain. ... Avis complet

I am a long time Apex season pass holder and am a bit disgruntled with some of the reviews about the mountain. I will admit that the holiday season this year did not come without some technical difficulties. However, since the holiday season the lifts have been running flawlessly and the snow has been fantastic. Being from the Okanagan valley, I have my choice of ski resorts and have taken my family skiing to each of them. Every fall, my family and I have the same discussion of where we should buy our season passes. And every year, we come to the same conclusion – Apex is the best deal in the Okanagan. With basically no lift lines and by far the best variety of terrain in the Okanagan, dollar for dollar and run for run, Apex is the best choice. In response to the review which talked about their 30 minute wait on the chair lift, yes it did happen, I was also on the lift at the time. I was annoyed at the time, but considering my family and I would have spent more time waiting in lift lines than skiing at most other ski resorts, the 30 minutes spent waiting for the lift to be repaired now seems trivial. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see Apex remain my family’s little secrete but I feel that a couple of the reviews on this forum are unfair and don’t do justice to the mountain. If you are looking for a mountain that is super family friendly, has an awesome variety of terrain, great snow and small to non-existent lift lines than Apex is a no brainer. ... Avis complet

I had never skiied in my life until I visited Apex. I went with two experienced skiiers. I rented equipment and had a lesson with a mountain guide (who went out of his way to offer a lesson to just 2 skiiers) as the instructors were all busy. After an hour or two I graduated to the intermediate level and we went up the hill and skiied (and fell down too!) all day.The weather was perfect (March last year)and the lifts were not busy. The rental technicians were helpful and friendly as was the restaurant staff. ... Avis complet
