Silver Mountain est désormais la station de prédilection de nombreux habitants de la région. Outre la diversité de son terrain, elle reste l'une des stations les plus intéressantes du secteur pour la qualité de son domaine skiable. Alors que le ski en station devient de plus en plus cher, elle demeure un véritable joyau caché.

• Terrain varié, joyaux cachés comme des clairières, traversée de l'arrière-pays, bar sympa et prix abordables !
• Parfois, la file d'attente pour les téléphériques peut être assez longue...

Quel plaisir de skier sur une montagne qui n'appartient pas aux grands groupes ! Il y a tellement de superbes terrains à explorer ! Les itinéraires sont vraiment bien pensés, on ne passe pas sa journée à traverser. Le télésiège n°4 est l'un de mes préférés ! J'ai hâte qu'il devienne un télésiège express. Silver Valley, dans l'Idaho, est vraiment sous-estimé !

This resort has very nice ski/ride terrain. Kind of like a mini-Colorado or "B" level resort. The rolling twisting runs make it more interesting than the typical straight, "bowling alley" runs at most resorts. The snow seems good. The value delivered is very high. However, the whole "ski area" experience is really lacking. There is NO apres ski or nightlife—no upbeat energy in the area. The resorts rooms are getting a bit dated and their rates do not reflect demand. We explored staying in the resort room's when we saw their $79/night plus lift ticket rate. When we tried to make a reservation the price bumped up to $372 PER PERSON. Here is the kicker, when we arrived at the resort the rooms were EMPTY! The Fairbridge Suites next door to the resort has maybe 100+ rooms, there were two cars in the empty parking lot, with rates still at full price. Not sure what is going on here, but I can vouch that the "off hill" experience, resort, nightlife, restaurants, etc. are all way off and not very entertaining. The actual skiing and terrain is surprisingly good and the lift tickets reasonable. So come for the hill, bring your own fun, enjoy the views and spend your time on the hill versus hotel.

This mountain's steeps and snow will rival any resort. Not a lot of cliffs/boulders/rocks to enjoy. Snow is good to great depending, gets a bunch of powder and holds it well. The hike to Wardner is worth the trip and untouched lines. My personal favorite.

When all runs are open, it's a blast. I love the Gondola ride that gets you excited to board/ski. Also, it is not a fancy place, and it really makes you focused on the beautiful views and runs they offer! The people here have never been rude, and the bunny hill for new learners is very nice.
