So, snowshoe is a great resort. Silver creek has some great runs, and cupp run is MAGNEFICENT! Some parts were icy but i dont really have much to say. The big 3 (Skipjack, Spruce, Gnady dancer) are the best runs.... Avis complet

We love Snowshoe Mountain and always have a great time. It's really not their fault but I find the covid policies stupid. You can pile up in a shuttle bus but can't get into a restaurant or coffee shop to warm up for 5 minutes. Luckily, the shacks at the bottom of the mountain are not as assinine about it. ... First time me and my wife has been there in a while. We are Senior Citizens and we were looking for a good meal, a ride on the tram, and some relaxing time in the Village Commons Area. Besides trying to drink a coke that tasted like something from the moon the food was okay. Not great, but okay. Fingernail clippings were on our first table so we found another one. The ac was not working very well, but we shrugged it off. After dinner we started walking around and my wife almost got hit a total of three times by fast moving bikers. Some young bikers were wearing shirt that said the “F” word on it. They should have wore them shirts somewhere else. A lot of bikers were drinking beer in the parking lot. Actually it looked like a bikers rally. Rode the tram and it was enjoyable. Got to the bottom and seen more people laying around drinking beer. ... Avis complet

On March 2 thru 4, it isn't at all crowded on the mountain. No waiting lines anywhere. The employees we encountered at Starbucks, Cheat Mountain Pizza, Foxfire Grille and The Junction were mostly unconcerned and unavailable. We walked out of Cheat Mountain Pizza, The Junction and Foxfire because after being seated, no one came to take our order. We tried The Junction a second time and again, no one came to take our order so we moved to the bar and were served by the Bartender. Our room in the Rimfire Lodge had a broken toilet seat, the microwave light was out and the couch was completely worn out. We wanted a late checkout from Rimfire so we could ride snowmobiles at 6 PM so we had to pay an additional $75. We went to lunch and came back to Rimfire only to be locked out because our keys had expired. No one at Reservations bothered to help nor explain that one. After calling and going thru the loop, We had to walk over to The Alpine Lodge to renew our keys. The Lady at THE DEPOT was like talking to a vacant lot. To make a long story shorter, because there is more, Once Snowshoe has your money, GOOD LUCK with everything else.... Avis complet

Most vert in mid-Atlantic (1,500'), THREE high-speed lifts serving 220+ acres (nice ratio!), fantastic snow-making and grooming team. Immensely popular, draws skiers from DC, all over the South, Ohio, and mid-Atlantic, so lift lines can be insane. Go on weekdays if you can, you'll get 8 or more runs in per hour with those fast lists. Lift ticket also good at nearby Silver Creek resort (take free shuttle) for night skiing til 9pm. Abundant lodging and dining options, true apres ski opportunities. ... Avis complet

Best snow and terrain in midatlantic. Snow quality was excellent even after hard rain and then a deep freeze. Snowmaking is extensive and due to high altitude, good snow quality. A nice walkable ski village. ... Avis complet

I’m always at the terrain park and sadly all beginners go and ruin the jumps and rails. Wish there was a way to keep them out bc they should know better. ... Avis complet

This is the best ski area that I have found within weekend-tripping distance from Pittsburgh. This is a great little ski resort - it is like a miniature version of a Summit County, CO ski resort. Great restaurants, nice little shopping area, cute spa, etc. For this region of the country, the slopes are great and the snow is the best in the Southeast region! I would NOT recommend flying to this destination. If you are going to get on a plane, then by all means go to a good ski area on the East Coast or even better out West! This is great for locals who do not have the time or money to go to a legit ski resort. It is an excellent weekend trip for Pittsburghers. The lift lines are REALLY long, so if you think you will be skiing here more than once or twice this season, I would recommend buying the Primo Pass add-on for $260 or so. Otherwise, you will be waiting in lift lines for 30+ minutes after each run, and that is just not acceptable when you only have the weekend to ski. ... Avis complet

I had an amazing experience at Snowshoe. My friends and I visited Snowshoe over Spring Break. Foolishly, I skipped taking snowboarding lessons and kept crashing down the mountain. I become afraid of the slopes. After lunch, I snowboarded down Upper Hootenanny on my toes and fell multiple times. A manager at Snowshoe noticed my lack of control and fear and offered to teach me. I accepted. She gave me essentially a one and a half hour private lesson for free where she helped me face my fears, use my toes and heals properly, turn the board, and gain control. My three day trip was transformed because I had the skills and the mental grit to snowboard properly. I thank the worker, Caroline, for caring for me and enhancing my trip exponentially. ...
