Steven's has fallen so far. It's so irritating when you take a day off to go ski a powder day and the whole backside is closed. 45 minute waits because only 4 chairs are open. I spent 3 hours there on a tuesday and got 4 runs in. I paid full price for standing in line to get 3 runs and one super short 7th heaven run. I left after 3 hours, utterly disappointed. The snow was so good, I spent 2 hours getting there, about 10 minutes skiing, 2.5 hours standing in line and 3 more hours driving home. Still beats working, but certainly not what I expect when paying 107 dollars for a ticket. Felt totally ripped off. Get more lifties to open up the mountain Stevens!... Avis complet

The idea that Vail has ruined Stevens Pass is beyond laughable; it's insane! Daily operations decisions are not made in Colorado but by feet on the ground in WA; also neither I, nor nearly all the naysayers know on what goes on behind the scenes. These are trying times, people are stressed...blah blah...no excuses! My point: the terrain that made Stevens fun in past is exactly the same and it's still a fun mountain. My review: Recent cold and deep storm cycles have produced some of the best skiing I've ever had at Stevens. Awesome, totally killer, glades for those that love carving powder through the forest. Yet, some powder days the full mountain was not open (things beyond our control happen!) and majority of chatter I hear in lift lines is complaints. I am out literally hootin' and hollerin', smiling and enjoying the snow while the 'crowd' seems to focus on what's not open and whining like spoiled children; somehow entitled to the mountain all themselves. Seattle Metro pop. is growing, if people didn't know. There are more people in the region; crowding has nothing to do with Vail, but we have to blame someone and corporate overlord is easiest target. I don't agree with everything at Stevens operationally, but I'm there for the snow (awesome this year) and terrain (hasn't changed).... Avis complet

Yes, the crowds are huge now! Long time Stevens rider here... My favorite local resort. Alpental became too crowded and crystal is too far. (I'm in Kirkland) Stevens Pass Employees have been great this year (2021) From Parking help, Lift workers and especially the "Ticket Window". My nephew left his ski pass in a different coat one morning and they couldn't have made it easier or faster to give us a replacement pass and we were back at the lift by 9am opening. of course, Avalanche blasting holds the backside up on powder days and makes for massive lift lines on the front. More people than ever! Full Parking, Long lift lines, and those eye popping ticket and pass prices! Welcome to the "modern day greater Seattle area". I'm hoping for the best with new ownership learning from the customer frustrations this year, getting things "dialed in"... And I'm staying the course for future years and if only those years can be as awesome snow conditions as this one. Viva La Nina!... Avis complet

Steven's pass has been my favorite ski resort for a long time. Up until vail bought the resort i would ski their all season every year. Now that vail own's the resort the mountain has taken a turn for the worst. Delayed open's half mountain capacity on the best powder days (due to poor managment). Ski patrol and scanner's have been on strike for workers right's and under staffed kitchen's lead to long waits for food and low quality meals. I am sad to say i will no longer ski hear because of the greed that has taken over this place. It's no longer a family/ community feeling when I arrive just corpurate robots. ... Avis complet

Been going to SP for over 30 years. Use to be a little jewel for PNW skiing. Since Vail took over the place the skier experience has suffered severely. So far this season, I've been up to the Mt. ~ 6 times. Only go on weekdays. So far this year I have experienced only one day where lines were not EPICally long! Have yet to experience a day when all the lifts were operating. Backside is closed constantly. The idea that Vail Resorts is limiting the amount of skiers on the Mt. due to Covid is laughable. Most days only half the lifts are running - lots of excuses, but never seems to change. Seems like a lack of personnel on the Mt. to run the operations efficiently and effectively. Parking lots are jammed and quite frankly, not safe. No parking lot supervision and control. Cars parked along the side of roads getting in and out so only one car at a time can pass in either direction. Imagine if there was an emergency vehicle that needed to get in or out. Mask wearing is not enforced. While most skiers adhere to the policy, those that don't are not asked to wear one by lift line scanners or lift operators. Stay away, it's not a good situation right now... Avis complet

Ok it’s not Vail or Squaw, or Whistler - but it’s close by, and when the snow flys (like this season),!’ve experienced some of the best powder here in years and years . This is a day resort not a destination vacation spot so trying to rate it for apres skiing is silly. Yes, the lines were much shorter way back when the entire state only had 3 million people , but you can’t stop growth and Steven’s has done a good job of upgrading to several high speed lifts which is about the only thing they could do to reduce lift lines (except maybe raise rates to $200/day). I love Steven’s for what it is - a decent local ski hill to practice, exercise, and enjoy the thrill of being carried to the top of mountains that long ago I sweated all day scrambling to the top of, back in my mountaineering days. Get out and enjoy Steven’s and it’s beauty for what it is, not what it isn’t. ... Avis complet

I've been skiing stevens for years. moved to another mountain last season but came back after some of the changes that were made over the last 12 months. Love the new chairs, however the lines are worse, parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE, the mountain is constantly opening late and not opening the whole mountain - there seem to be a number of chairs offline for one reason or another. ... This area is utterly contemptuous of their customers. They know they have an assured market. The terrain is passable with mostly short runs. The snow conditions are often poor with rain or recently rained on, thawed, refrozen snow that makes off-piste laborious. The lift lines are utterly epic, and there is regularly some reason that various parts of the mountain are not open. I've been skiing here for nearly 60 years, and long ago realized that the management could not care less about the skier's experience. It's local, but I ski far more days at areas which value my patronage. ... Avis complet

Stevens Pass now owned by Vail resorts is a small resort in western WA. Decent snowfall but very heavy. Terrain is overly bombed for avy control, making it more dangerous with rocks, ice and large ice balls exposes. Minimal lodging options nearby. Stevens Pass is extremely crowded always. And very expensive. Stevens parking is bad, but what’s worse is the crowds and 2 hour long lift lines. On weekends, they won’t have the mountain open until 11am sometimes even later, and limited operations with no excuse. They have employees in lifelines to yell at customers for exposing 1 nostril to breath for a second, it’s insane. They don’t enforce sharing the chairs at all, so you’ll be waiting in line for hours as you watch 1 person for per quad chair or triple or double chair.... even though these people just stood next to someone in line for hours and will shuttle up in a bus from the overflow parking lot, fly in an fully booked airplane, go to the grocery store, but sharing a chairlift flying through fresh air with other healthy masked individuals is somehow not ok. Ultimately driving up to the mountain is more risky than sharing a chair because the roads are very bad.... Avis complet
