They have done a great job of improving the terrain and the facilities since Vail bought them. This is not extreme skiing so get over it. For a local place this is exactly what you want. Enjoy it. ... Avis complet
I made a mistake on my purchase date, and came the following day instead of the date I purchased a lift and lesson + lift + rental for my daughter. They had me purchase everything again. They only honored the lesson but had me purchase everything at high cost again, so I ended up paying double for that whole session. They could have given me the rental for free at least. Wasn’t very nice.... Avis complet
Save your $ and go elsewhere. There are much nicer hills close by. Mt. Brighton is overpriced, overcrowded and the runs are small/short/nothing exciting. They are definitely all about the money. I can't believe what they charge for lift tickets when this is a very small hill. Management does not care about their customers at all. I purchased a three day lift ticket for my son and husband and only got to use one day because they shut down early due to the corona virus. They compared this to shutting down due to weather and said I purchased an unrefundable ticket even though their website said they would be open last weekend and they weren't. I simply asked for a voucher for next year and they refused. So in the end, I paid $120 each / $240 total for my husband and son to ski one day. I will never go back due to their lack of understanding / compassion. All they do is take advantage of people with their high priced tickets and overcrowded hill. ... Avis complet
Finding a decent vertical drop, good snow conditions, and a large number of runs is going to be a challenge in lower Michigan. Given this, Mt. Brighton is a good place to ski close to home. I skied here in a warm January day and was pleased with the condition of the snow and grooming. If you are heading to a Vail resort out West, you can deduct the cost of the Mt. Brighton lift ticket with the cost of the lift ticket out there, which is great.... Avis complet
Mt. Brighton is your typical teenage snow rat hang out. 90% of the clientele is under the age of 18, and during the weekends the terrain park will be packed. Not family friendly at all, fights are a common occurrence on the hill. Management is completely inept and the resort is almost always understaffed, causing long lines and less runs. Do yourself a favor, and drive over to Alpine Valley, Mt. Holly, or Pine Knob.... Avis complet
I have been a season ticket holder for the past 4 years. Contrary to a post from last spring,, I very much enjoy the staff and the "mountain". No it's not Nubs Knob or Shanty Creek, but it is a well run fun place to be. I am a senior skier and enjoy watching the teen skiers at the boarding park.... Avis complet
If you live in the Metro Detroit Area, go to Alpine or Holly. Mt. Brighton is full of teenagers and pre teens that make the experience unbearable. The staff is almost as bad as the excuse they have for chair lifts (which are normally barely operational, and will break will you are on them). The hill itself is worth about a 10 second ride down, only to be back on those aforementioned excuses for lifts. The only redeemable quality, is the terrain park, which covers about 40% of the front face. Normally, they have a decent selection of features, but you will get tired of them within the day.... If you want a good experience in the Metro Detroit Area, go to Mt Holly. This place only good if you want to go the terrain park, which will be overcrowded, poorly ran, and unsafe with the practices that Mt Brighton has. The only reason to go here is for the epic pass, otherwise make the journey to Mt Holly for a better all mountain experience.... Avis complet
Small and crowded; they overcharge- including if you do not wish to use the lifts. Most places do not charge for the beginner areas.
Extremely poorly organized for kids lessons! I recommend to avoid weekends-although this is hard for most families. But they take more kids than they can reasonably instruct, and they will hold more advanced kids behind. My kids were already independent in taking the lifts, but were kept at the carpet area for the entire lesson. They charge for lift tickets even if not taking the kids up. Unacceptably poor service for the money...... Avis complet
Hilariously overpriced for what you get. It's okay to learn on, but there are no difficult runs, and the cost of lift tickets/rentals are absurd. Over $100 a night just for myself for a few hours after work including a quick dinner and beer. It's clear the only point of this hill anymore is to sell season passes and provide a gateway to the rest of Vail's real resorts out west.... Avis complet
